Starter works, as do most of the electrics save for the headlight, horn, and rear right flasher. Front right flasher stays on steady but I think that has something to do with the dead rear one.
Unfortunately there’s still no fuel until the tank gets here on the 5th and more importantly I fudged up on the battery.
I forgot I had the older C100 frame when I ordered the 12v battery that the C70 engine and starter need and it doesn’t fit into the holder in the frame. So, I need to find a 12v battery that’s the same size (2.75" x 2" x 3.75" ) as the C100's 6v battery. Any ideas, Oppo?

If you don’t need a ton of battery you can do a super capacitor setup. It requires some DIY but works well in small space needs.

I know nothing about scooter batteries but I looked at 12V UPS batteries, but it seems like the smallest sizes are 3.5" x2.8" x4" or 5.3" x2.7" x2.4".

Is the battery too large to fit? If it’s too small, why not just make something to make it fit correctly, like a frame around the battery or some such?
Also, great to see progress...loving following along on this one! :)

I know there's something out there, the guy I got this bike from said he had a battery that worked at some point but couldn't remember what it was.

Too big. It’s like 5mm too tall to fit in the hole.

UPDATE (since we can't edit posts anymore): I found a site with dimensions for literally every motorcycle battery format and I just went out and measured the hole with a ruler. I think a 4L-BS will fit.

I responded to my post because Kinja won't let me edit it- I think I figured out what will work.

No worries! I didn’t mean ignore me in a sarcastic way, I meant it as in ‘my idea doesn’t apply and does not help your situation’ :P

Have you done work on the engine and converted it to 12V ? That engine is a 6V points engine from the look of the clutch cover. The 82-83 Passports were 12V CDI ignition engines. The 80-81 Passports were 6V engines.
